TEACHER OF THE WEEK

Ms. Jennifer Peng (3rd Grade)

Hello everyone! I'm Jennifer Peng, one of the 3rd-grade teachers here at Roberts. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, so I can be quite particular about my beaches. Thirteen years ago, I journeyed to Houston to begin my teaching career. This marks my 13th year in teaching, with the last nine of those wonderfully spent right here at Roberts! It's truly remarkable how quickly time flies from the moment we first step into a classroom.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education should enriching and enjoyable. My mission is to ignite in each of my students a love for learning and an enthusiasm for knowledge.

When I'm not shaping young minds, you'll often find me cooking new recipes, running around Rice, traveling, or learning new languages—I'm currently learning German! I also find relaxation watching K-Dramas and playing video games like Zelda, Hogwarts Legacy, and Animal Crossings.

The heart of my joy lies in spending time with the Peng family. I am blessed with three energetic kids: Holly (3rd grade), Hannah (1st grade), and Hudson, who at 1 and a half years old, keeps us all on our toes! Both Holly and Hannah are proud members of the Roberts family, a testament to the wonderful community we have here. When teachers choose Roberts for their own children, you know it's a place where magic truly happens!
