As you may already know, the work of school leaders and teachers continues well into the summer.
Getting off to an early start for the upcoming school year, we, at Roderick Paige Elementary, have set our minds on building community with our students, parents, teachers, and neighbors. In August, our staff with a spirit of family, collaboration, and hospitality will be leading a neighborhood walk. We will visit the homes of our students and parents to invite them to join us for another year of learning and growing.
It is our hope that families feel welcomed and supported by the school and our community partners, with the mission of ensuring a quality education for their child. With your help, we can make our visits more special by offering families a backpack ready for the first day of school. Your donation of $35 is the equivalent of 5 smiling students walking into Roderick Paige Elementary ready to learn.
We ask that you donate however you see fit with the confidence that your donation will directly impact students and exclusively be used for the purchase of backpacks and/or supplies to fill these. Our goal is to raise $4,000 for 560 students by August 4, 2017.
We are fully conscious of the responsibility we have to educate, nurture, and love all children. We are hopeful that our community will support our efforts to ensure that every student is equipped with the necessary tools to experience success.
Our fundraiser is made possible in partnership with ProUnitas. Learn more about their work at www.prounitas.org.
