International Literacy Day
Whether it's reading or writing literacy is an outlet to an untouchable world - your imagination. Not only is literacy a basic human right, its a fundamental building block for learning as well as a personal empowerment tool. It is the catalyst for social and global progress.
On September 8th, 2015, let's show the world the importance of literacy by celebrating International Literacy Day. Help join communities around the globe to act as a united voice in raising awareness for those who cannot read or write.
We invite you to support our campus wide celebration of International Literacy Day. Our theme for this year is "Putting a Cap on Illiteracy". Please wear a cap that has been decorated to display the importance of reading. Please see the picture below of Mr. Williams for an example of what we are looking for. His hat says "Say it Loud! I READ, and I'm PROUD".
