    The Texas Education Agency released the 2015 Accountability Summary for all Texas Schools. There are four Performance Indices which are: Student Achievement, Student Progress, Closing Performance Gaps and Post Secondary Readiness. Burbank Middle School Met Standards and earned six distinctions:
    Reading/ELA , Mathematics, Science
    Top 25% Student Progress, Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps

    Campus-Wide Book Initiative
    Book 2
    This will be the 4th year that Burbank's students are participating in the annual campus-wide book study. Each student received a copy of The Art of Secrets which is read in class everyday during homeroom. Students participate in activities bringing life to the book that they are reading, such as fold-ables, analyzing the texts, and classroom discussions. Follow our activities here.

  • Scholarship

    Burbank Student Wins TAGT Scholarship
    Seventh grade student Shermya Parker was named one of two recipients of the 2015 TAGT-Summer Mathematics Institute Scholarship valued at $2300 provided by the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS) at the University of North Texas. She will get the opportunity to live on the college campus for three weeks and enroll in a single class where she will get the opportunity to complete one year of high school mathematics in this self-paced program.
