  •                    Read Across America!

read across america The fourth grade class hosted a Read Across America event on March 1, 2013 honoring Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Brookline’s
dedication to reading. Ms. Andrews invited a series of educated and successful speakers to come read a book to classes that related to their profession. The students  heard from a Houston fire fighter; a published author, a NASA engineer, a meteorologist, and Air Force personnel. Each speaker had a chance to share with students what their profession was like and why reading had so much to do with their success. Check the Fourth Grade webpage to learn more about this event!

  •               "Who am I?" Black History Program

Black History Program Brookline’s fine arts Music Department presented a wonderful program on February 27th and 28th to celebrate Black History Month. This year Ms. Bradford and Ms. Lewis led a group of Brookline students to perform great musical hits from Mo-Town record groups such as the Jackson Five, The Marvelletes, and The Supremes. Brookline students from the fourth and fifth grade classes acted as important African-Americans throughout history like Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Harriet Tubman and asked the question, “Who am I?”
