HISD Class of 2009 Offered More Than $76 Million in Scholarships


As of early June 2009, HISD’s graduating seniors had been offered a whopping $76,743,628 in scholarships, with many students receiving more than one offer.

In creating a college-bound culture, the district is seeing more students receiving scholarships every spring to assist them in pursuing their dreams of higher education. The total amount of scholarships accepted this year is $48,910,557, which beats last year’s total by more than $170,000. Here are the statistical breakdowns:
