Superintendent Search Forums Scheduled to Gather Input from Community, Employees






The Houston Independent School District Board of Education wants to hear from you as it begins developing a profile of the leadership qualities to be sought in the district's next superintendent of schools.

The public and HISD employees are invited to forums to provide input into the superintendent search. HISD's superintendent of schools is one of the most important and influential officials in Houston. Attend one of these forums and provide your thoughts on the profile of the next leader.

A representative of Heidrick & Struggles will conduct each meeting on behalf of the board, and the board trustee who represents each school’s area will also be present. Attendees will be asked to discuss the characteristics that potential candidates must have to be an effective superintendent of schools, and those attending can also submit written comments on cards that will be provided at the forums.
