    Mrs. Moore in 5th grade has been voted our Teacher of the Month for September. Mrs. Moore goes above and beyond for her students and is always willing to lend a hand to her colleagues. Mrs. Moore is an excellent 5th grade teacher. We are honored to have her.Teacher of the Month

    Parent/Teacher conferences will be held October 7th-18th during the teacher's planning/conference time. Your child's teacher will notify you of the date and time of your conference.

Our Mission Statement:
We believe through excellence in effective lesson planning and content mastery, students will excel in all subjects. Additionally, we believe in setting high expectations that are within reach of every student and encouraging students to perform to their maximum potential.
 
Our Vision:
Is to unlock the potential of every student through rigorous instruction and quality instructional delivery. We envision students producing quality work products, working in small groups and solving problems, and becoming innovative in finding more than one way to solve a problem.
 
Our Goal is to ensure every student is reading on/above grade level, thinks critically, and understands the processes of math in order to solve complex problems.

Registration Information
  • Pre-Kindergarten must be 4 years old on or before September 1
  • Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1
  • Legal Birth Certificate or Birth Facts (must be original, no copies)
  • Current Immunization Record with all immunizations up to date
  • Driver’s License or Valid Picture Identification
  • Proof of address (rent receipt, lease agreement, electric bill or other utility bills (NO TELEPHONE BILLS)
  • Social Security Card

To be eligible to enroll a student, a person must be the parent or legal guardian of the student or must have a notarized written confirmation from the parent/guardian giving that person permission to enroll. 


School Address and Dress Code

 
Students wear uniforms at Nat Q. Henderson. Our uniform color is navy. The navy trousers, jumpers and/or skirts should be worn with red or yellow polo shirts.

Shorts may not be worn if they are more than three (3) inches above the knees. Parents will be required to pick their child(ren) up immediately, if they are not dressed in uniform.

THIS THREE-INCH RULE IS FOR PRE-K THROUGH FIFTH GRADES.

Uniforms are required Monday through Friday.

Please do not encourage our children to disobey rules. Help them become good citizens.
