Dear Briscoe Community:
I wanted to reiterate a little bit about me. I have been an educator for 16 years and have been a middle school Science and English teacher, assistant principal at the middle and high school level, as well as a principal. I began my career at Stevenson Middle as a multi-grade Science, before joining Jane Long Middle School as an Assistant Principal for three years. I have also been a Dean of Instruction at Sam Houston Math Science and Technology Center as well as Fleming Middle School. Since 2013, have served as the principal at Clemente Martinez Elementary School. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Inter-Disciplinary Studies and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston- Main Campus. I am committed to the academic success of all students on this campus.
I truly look forward to supporting this great staff in the continuation of academic excellence here at Andrew Briscoe. I know that as more data comes out I will share with all parties. I am very data oriented and know the true value of teamwork cannot not be measured in scores.
I truly am pleased to be able to lead and support this community in the goal of academic distinction in the East End. I only ask all to reflect on the year that just passed and how we can continue to make Andrew Briscoe the school of choice for the East End of HISD.
Andrew Briscoe ES
