THINK PINK CHALLENGE IS COMING!
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month and at Burbank Middle School we take the Think Pink Challenge very seriously! Very soon, all three grade levels will begin raising money in a friendly competition to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It will be a week-long activity beginning October 18 and ending October 27. Students may raise money by donating during lunch time and by buying and wearing the pink ribbons which will be on sale that week. On October 27, students will enjoy a dress-down pass provided they wear pink!
The winning grade level will have the privilege of presenting the check to the representative from the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Last year, the honor fell on the Sixth Grade and the total amount raised was
That's amazing, isn't it? And that's the number to beat. Look for the "thermometer posters" which will display your grade's progress. They will be located in the cafeteria, in "C" hall, and outside the Main Office.
