This event is an exciting opportunity for 8th grade students who are interested in applying to DeBakey High School for Health Professions for the 2016-17 school year. Potential students will meet faculty, staff and current students at DeBakey and may inquire about the programs and clubs we have to offer.

DeBakey students and students in Botswana that have HIV/AIDS are working together to create a Pinterest page about education on DNA, Genes, and Genomics. They are supposed to pin activities, readings, videos that will help educate students their same age on these particular topics. It is a contest with other classes in the United States. We need to get as many followers as possible. Please support our students by following our board. The deadline is this Friday. Our students will be adding pins all week.
HISD students came in second in the Senior Division and second and third in the Junior Division of the 2015 Exxon Mobil Texas Science and Engineering Fair

Up to 6 graduating DHSHP students are selected to attend the University of Houston as part of the Houston Premedical Academy (HPA). These students also receive provisional acceptance into Baylor College of Medicine. Click for the application and more information.
