Lamar High School qualifies as a campus wide Title 1 school. Our Title 1 funding is based on the number of students who are on free/reduced lunch, which was 46.6% for 2016-2017. It is a federally funded program, and at LHS these funds are used to ensure that all students on our campus have an equal and fair opportunity to reach their highest academic potential.
Title 1 funds are used to supplement our current programs, including 3 Math Intervention Teachers, before and after school tutorials, Grad Lab and extended library hours. As Title 1 Coordinator, I work closely with parents and staff to facilitate the success of our program.
