I am very happy to be the School Nurse at Elrod, and I look forward to helping the students at this school be as healthy as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child.
Washing your hands with soap and water is the MOST EFFECTIVE technique to prevent the spread of infection. With Flu Season already in progress and many cases of Strep Throat in the community, it is very important that school staff and parents encourage students to wash their hands with soap and water frequently, especially after sneezing and coughing into their hands and using the restroom.
With cooler weather approaching our area, asthma symptoms may worsen for some children. If your child requires the use of an inhaler and/or other medication to treat asthma symptoms, please contact the school nurse for appropriate forms to be filled out by your child's doctor so that medication maybe kept for them in the clinic.
