Welcome to the homepage of the Mandarin Chinese Language Immersion Magnet School (MCLIMS) in Houston Independent School District!  We are very proud to be the first 100% dedicated Mandarin language immersion magnet school in the Houston area, and look forward to serving our community for a very long time.  The school opened in August 2012, initially serving grades PK-2.  In November of 2012, Houston voters approved the HISD bond, which not only meant that MCLIMS would receive a brand new multi-million dollar building, but would also become a campus serving grades K-8!  In the coming years we will work to develop a middle school immersion curriculum which continues our commitment to excellent instruction and rigorous academics.

 

MCLIMS is located in Bellaire, Texas and serves the entire HISD community.  We welcome your questions and look forward to helping you learn about our unique and exciting educational program.
