National School Psychology Awareness Week November 9–13

Helping students to see the positive possibilities in themselves and their lives

HISD is proud to honor and recognize the efforts of its Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP) during National School Psychology Awareness Week.

The theme for 2009 is “See the possibilities in you. We do!” and it reflects the crucial role school psychologists play in working cooperatively with campus administrators, faculty, and parents to find the best solution for each student and situation when problems arise. 

School psychologists do far more than just evaluate emotional/behavioral concerns; they also develop strategies to improve school and districtwide student-support systems.

Please take a moment during the second week in November to extend your thanks to the HISD’s school psychologists for the support they provide to students and campuses.
