The Houston Independent School District operates under the auspices of the Texas Education Agency. HISD is the largest public school system in Texas and the seventh-largest in the United States. Its schools are dedicated to giving every student the best possible education through an intensive core curriculum and specialized, challenging instructional and career programs. HISDConnect is located at the same Internet address as HISD’s former Web site (www.houstonisd.org) and is the site that everyone can access. This includes employees, parents, the general public—anyone with access to the World Wide Web.

To access the information and useful tools and services available only to HISD employees on HISDConnect, employees need to go to the district Web site (www.houstonisd.org) and click on the "Employee" tab or the "Employee Login" link under the "Quick Links" section.

Who Maintains the HISD Web Site?

HISDConnect is produced through a joint effort between HISD's Department of Technology and Information Systems (Greg Valdez, Technology Information Officer) and Communication Services (Kerry Reynolds, Manager), which includes Portal Services (Marcy Spears, Supervisor).
