Directories

Schools and Administrative Departments: Specific department and school addresses and phone and fax numbers can be found online in "Directories."

  • Access school Web sites using the School Information tool on the "Home" page (if the school has a site, its name is the link). Results using the tool also include basic information about the school and links to the school's "Profile" and a map showing the school's location. A "help" document explaining how to use the School Information tool is available here.
  • Access department sites using Department Information tool on the "Home" page or click here to see a list. If the department has a Web site, the department name will include a link.

Please note: At this time, the e-mail addresses of individual employees are used primarily for in-house communications. If a department or school has a Web site, it is up to that department or school to designate an individual as its e-mail contact person. If there is no e-mail contact provided, the next-best method of contact is by telephone.

Taxes:

In 2006, taxpayers began remitting their HISD taxes to the Harris County Tax Office (HCTO) instead of the tax-collection office previously run by HISD. Questions regarding HISD taxes should be directed to the HCTO at 713-368-2000 (U.S. mail: 1001 Preston, Houston, TX 77002).
