Nine Teachers from the Construction Cluster Complete NCCER Industry Certification.

Great News for students enrolled in the HISD construction cluster! In February 2009, nine CTE teachers completed the required National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Instructor Certification Course held in Houston, Texas.

Campuses participating include Sam Houston Math Science Technology Center (SHMSTC), Barbara Jordan HS, Worthing HS, Sterling HS, Harper Alternative School, and Milby HS. The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department is looking forward to meeting the additional requirements posed by NCCER so that students receiving instruction at campuses, will also be able to take their certification tests there as well.. CTE is looking forward to providing more information to parents and students as it develops regarding this magnificent program and opportunity.
