SkillsUSA District VIII Winners

The Vara Center sweeps the awards again this year in Computer Maintenance Competition.  The students at the Vara Center all worked very hard to achieve the rewards that they received.  The students attend Austin, Eastwood & Milby.  This competition included all high schools in Houston and surrounding areas. The competition was held at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, TX on February 27 & 28, 2009.  

This is the 3rd year the Vara Center’s Computer Project has won Best of Show.  All of our students qualified to go to State held in Corpus Christ on April 2-4, 2009. 

We look forward to the State Competitions and bringing home the State awards (again)!!!  We are very proud of the teachers and all the students at the Vara Center for Technology.
