Property Management

Property Management tracks all land, building, equipment, vehicles and furniture in the District with a unit value of $500 or more and a useful life of two years or more.

Property Management processes include:

  1. Posting of acquisitions, retirements and transfers of fixed assets by schools and departments to the SAP system.
  2. Coordinating, reviewing and processing of physical inventories of fixed assets by schools and departments as well as spot check inventories.
  3. Calculating and posting of depreciation related to fixed assets with a value of $5,000 or more.
  4. Processing and tracking of construction projects.
  5. Generating of monthly and annual reports and analysis related to fixed assets.

The District's total fixed assets, including land, building, construction in progress, equipment, vehicles and furniture, exceed $1.5 billion.
