No Place for Hate
The second Annual No Place for Hate Summit sponsored by the Anti Defamation League (ADL) (formerly the Prejudice Awareness 
Summit) will be held on November 11th at the University of Houston. Each Middle School Is invited to send a team of ten 8th grade students and one faculty sponsor who will help in the follow-up activities at the school. Schools that wish to participate should submit a registration form to Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Department no later than October 31, 2008. School teams will work with their sponsoring teachers to develop and implement a post-summit action plan. The Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Department is excited about this endeavor because it promotes the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets districtwide initiative in building Social Competencies and Positive Values.
