What We Do

Approximately, 60,000 students participate in the HISD summer-school program. HISD will have a four-week program for every elementary and middle school student who does not meet promotion standards. The HISD summer school program provides opportunities for high school students to make up required courses. (credit recovery)

High School students may also take courses in advance of the upcoming year. (tuition program)

Specialized courses are also offered for eligible LEP, Special Education, immigrant and migrant students.
