Our Standards

HISD Board Policy states that the products used on the district network must adhere to basic standards which ensure that they will connect and communicate without special consideration. Hardware and software standards are published on HISDConnect.

To meet the district's goal of Internet access in the classroom, reduce the total cost of ownership, and give students the opportunity to take full advantage of Internet based programs, HISD publishes technology hardware standards that best suit the network environment. Compliance with these standards is essential.
