What We Do
  • Analyzes new legislation to identify school-related compliance issues. 
  • Produces the HISD Secondary Guidelines and HISD Elementary Guidelines, manuals used by school staff for guidance in school procedures.
  • Trains campus personnel and responds to queries from school staff and the public on HISD Secondary Guidelines and HISD Elementary Guidelines.
  • Audits school manual and computerized record keeping as part of the HISD Data Quality Initiative.
  • Supervises correction of Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) and Person Identification Database (PID)data by campus personnel.
  • Maintains attendance boundary maps and street directories.
  • Approves student transfers.
  • Provides records retrieval and verification of graduate status for former HISD students.
