Shundra L. Harris-Mosley is the new Principal of Felix Cook, Jr. Elementary School. Mrs. Mosley formerly served as the Dean of Instruction at Kashmere Senior High School and has been very instrumental in successfully transforming low performing schools to acceptable status. While serving students, teachers and the Kashmere community, she participated in the community meetings and made herself visible and available to assist parents and students. She is a hands on, dedicated, and highly motivated individual. Education has been an essential tool for the success of her family and she strives to share that characteristic with the students and teachers she has served. Mrs. Mosley began her educational career at Houston Gardens Elementary, now known as Ernest McGowen Elementary and spent most of her years at Burrus Elementary, where she taught 4th and 5th grades. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Southern University and graduate studies at University of St. Thomas in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Mosley has a strong faith that leads her to a purpose driven relationship with education, students, and faculty. She clearly understands the duties and responsibilities of education, dedication, and commitment to an idealogy that promotes self-improvement and service to others. She has shown a passion for teaching, a passion for learning and a passion for professional growth as she continues to serve the Houston Independent School District. ~Principal Shundra Harris-Mosley
