Club Objectives: 

Simply for our members to have fun! In which we provide a safe and welcoming environment for students to

both play chess and learn how to play.

Chess is a game of strategy designed to both stimulate and grow your critical thinking skills. These skills developed through simply playing chess can be applied in other areas of your life, such as in the classroom.

Meetings:

The chess club meets almost every Thursday in room N003 during the second half of lunch.

A typical meeting begins with the officers arranging desks and then placing our boards for people to play on. Then members come in and find someone they desire to play with and the game commences. Having students both engaged in playing, learning to play, and observing games.

Our club is open to everyone, so feel free to drop by on Thursdays and see if the chess club is for you.
