HISD School-Based Health Clinics

  • Affordable, convenient healthcare is available on a number of HISD campuses. School-based health clinics provide services for students and sometimes family members and the community as well. Services include immunizations, routine physicals, sports physicals, minor injury care, lab testing, counseling, health education, and even dental care in some cases. Memorial Hermann, Baylor College of Medicine, UTHealth, and the Harris Health System are a few of the providers. Most services are provided free of charge, thanks to hospital foundations, Medicaid, CHIP plans, etc. Please call for eligibility criteria and appointments.

  • There are two mobile clinics, and they post their monthly schedules online here.
They go to various elementary and early childhood centers around Houston.
