• CONTENT SYLLABUS:  BIOLOGY ESL 

    Course Description:
     
    Biology is the study of living organisms and their processes.  Students will develop skills such as using scientific processes, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the fundamental processes of living organisms and their relationships with the environment.  Topics of instruction include, but are not limited to, Cells, Genetics, Ecology, Biological Evolution, and Human Biology
     
    Class Expectations: 
     
    Be on task (attend class, be on time, participate, work individually, work cooperatively, follow directions)
    Be responsible (ask questions, complete all assignments on time, food and drink are not permitted, ask for make-up work, follow all   rules)
    Be respectful (avoid disruptive behavior, raise hand to speak, leave other’s belongings alone)
    Be courteous (think before you speak, speak with kind words, be polite to teachers, administrators, staff, and fellow students)
    Be appropriate (topics of conversation, comments, words, and behavior should be professional in nature, vulgar language is never       appropriate)

    - Notebook Paper
    - Highlighter

    - Tests/Projects               20%
    - Homework                     10%
    - Labs/Quizzes                 35%
    - Classwork                      35%
