Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Moy

I am very excited about joining Memorial Elementary this year. This is my 3rd year as a Special Education teacher and my first year in HISD as a teacher. I have previously worked in a PALS class as a teaching assistant. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences with a minor in Psychology. While in college I worked as an intern and part time keeper at the Houston Zoo. My passion at that time was taking care of animals. I decided to become a special education teacher because of my sons. My oldest son has autism, my middle son has ADD, and my youngest son is dyslexic. We are a family full of differences! I saw the need for teachers who had a heart to work with children who were differently abled and decided to fill that need. When we aren’t at school, my family and I enjoy camping, going to the beach and other adventures. We also LOVE to listen to audio books on our long car rides. I still get my fill of animals at home with our 2 dogs, a cat, a bearded dragon, and a large fish tank. I look forward to getting to know my new students and new school family this year!
