• Pin Oak Charger Baseball
    Try Out Information 
    Thank you for expressing an interest in trying out for the Pin Oak MS Baseball team.
     Try out Information: 
    • Try-outs will be held from 3:55 pm - 6 pm or until dark (Dates/field to be determined later) 
    • Participants should be able to attend all of the tryouts.  *Exceptions: Basketball players
    • Try-outs are not open to the public.  Students must be picked up in the back parking lot not later than 6:15 pm.
    • No student will be allowed to try out without the Baseball Paperwork packet is signed, no exceptions.    Your completed form must be on file by noon of the day of your tryout.  See Coach Fujiwara for a paperwork packet.
    • Students must have their own glove and cleats to try out.  All other equipment will be provided , however, participants should have warm clothes, plus a jacket, due to the cold weather.  Cleats and tennis shoes may be needed if we cannot use the field and use the tennis courts or gym floor.
    • Players must swing a minus 3 to 5 bat (length to weight ratio).
    • The baseball team will consist of 15 players selected to represent Pin Oak.
    Parent meeting:
    •  There will be a virtual Baseball Interest Meeting on TEAMS on Wednesday, February 3rd at 3 pm.  Please use this link to join the meeting:  TEAMS LINK
    •  Here are the TWO sign up sheets that need to be submitted in order to tryout.  BOTH must be submitted before trying out.
    • You may either come out as a Pitcher/Catcher, or a Position Player.  You will have the same tryout either way, but the first group will focus on pitchers/catchers, and the second group will be for all other positions.  Dates for tryouts will be announced once HISD sets the schedule for all other spring sports.
