• Welcome to Mrs. Gomez' Science Page!

  • TEKS

We will follow the state of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skill for each grade level.

    STEM Night

Sharpstown International hosts a STEM night each year in February.  Watch the calendar for more details.  This is an evening for students to explore and investigate STEM related activities from 5:00-7:00.  There will be snacks, door prizes, and fun for the whole family.

What you need to know about ONLINE work.

  • I hope you and your family are well!

It is important to find a way to balance all of the parts of your life in times like this.  Please, make sure you are taking care of yourselves and your families, you are eating well and drinking a good amount of water, you are completing the work for school, you are finding time for things you enjoy, and you are making time to get outside when possible.  Don't spend all of your time in front of the screen.

When you are looking for your SCIENCE assignments please go to my course on the HUB.  We will use some of the district's digital resources and a new platform called Microsoft TEAMS.  You will receive invitations to MS TEAMS meetings, chats, and assignments either on the HUB or in your HISD Outlook email.

Please, make sure you are checking your HUB and email regularly.

If you would like to contact me, the best way to get a quick response is to email me in outlook (jgomez4@houstonisd.org).  My phone will alert me and I can respond quickly.  If you message me through the HUB, I do not get alerts and it will take longer for you to get your response.

You will have assignments for grades each week.  Please, keep up with them so that you don't feel overwhelmed later.

My online office hours (a time each day that I will be available for emails, meetings, and calls) will be 10:30-11:30 M-F.
