Cyber safety is important; in order for students to "take advantage of the powerful technology" that is available to them at home and school, they must be digital citizens who make "good choices" and "know how the digital world works (HISD website).  Advocacy teachers will serve as the trainers and will teach the students CIPA required online safety and behaviors. It is imperative that all five categories are property taught, and that the required forms are completed to comply with CIPA certification.
