  • Advertisement Analysis Clarification

Posted by Erin Ajdiou on 3/30/2020 9:00:00 AM

In the advertisement analysis assignment, we ask that you support your rhetorical device response (ethos, pathos, logos) using ACE.

English “stole” the idea of ACE from Texas history. Remember, ACE is the following:

Assertion – what is your claim? This means what is your answer – do you assert that the ad utilized ethos? Pathos? Logos? Or a combination?

Cite – refer to a line(s) and/or an image(s) as evidence to support your claim (answer).

Explain – explain how the evidence cited in the advertisement supports your claim (answer).

I hope this clarification helps.  Still have questions? Email me – eajdiou@houstonisd.org
