Degrees and Certifications:
College: University of South Carolina Hometown: San Fransisco
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but grew up overseas in Saudi Arabia and Syria. I am passionate about teaching and look forward to bringing my multicultural background, global perspective, and appreciation for learner differences to my third year at The School at St. George Place. I received my undergraduate degree in International Relations from The University of South Carolina/South Carolina Honors College and my master’s degree in Education from Houston Baptist University.
I believe that children learn best in an environment where they feel safe and valued. A learning environment that fosters respect for oneself and others promotes empathy and empowers children to think on their own while developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. My classroom will actively engage students in learning while inspiring individual creativity. This accepting environment will encourage students to become lifelong learners and instill within them a curiosity to know more about the world around them.
