Mr. Samuel N. Saenz
For over 4 decades, my life has been devoted to education. Both of my parents, my aunts and uncles and even my grandfather were educators. Early in my life, I was impacted by my first science fiction movie that set me on a course to study and ultimately teach science. Although, as a youth, I was determined to follow some path other than education, I moved into education my junior year in college. I attended Texas State University and majored in Biology and minored in chemisery...or rather, chemistry. I followed my educational path to Texas A & M Prairie View where I was awarded a Masters of Education in Guidance. I also worked on a doctorate at Texas A & M University, but did not complete the degree.
I have worked with students from 7th grade through college and even adult basic education and ESL. I have taught all of the sciences from Life Science through Oceanography and from Anatomy to Zoology. I love teaching and learning new things. It is my goal to help my students succeed in whatever interests them and encourage them to become life-long learners. I have many hobby diversions that range from model rocketry, R/C tanks, gardening, rock tumbling, raising parakeets and now backyard chickens.
