ABOUT TITLE I
The purpose of Title I, part A is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. A school is eligible to receive Title I, Part A funds when the percentage of low-income children residing within a school's attendance area is equal to or greater than the average district-wide percentage.
Brookline Elementary is a Title I school and receives funding from the federal goverment to support our students. Our goal at Brookline is to have a school culture where all our stakeholders (parents, students, faculty, and community members) work together to improve the learning and experience for all of our students. Our mission is to develop the whole child by addressing our students’ social, emotional and academic needs in a safe and nurturing environment that fosters high expectations in order to create global lifelong learners. Our vision is to improve the community by ensuring all scholars graduate at, or above, grade level.
