This week in Texas History we will begin Unit 10: 20th Century Texas. Students will complete the World War I Nearpod lesson that will be linked in Google Classroom at 8am on Monday.

I will be available via MS Teams from 1-3pm this week. Please email/Google message me if you want meet during this time and I will send you the link.

Extra credit this week is about the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19th, 1995. This extra credit will take a little bit longer than the normal 10-15 minutes. So, this week's extra credit is worth 25 points instead of 10. As a native Oklahoman, this is a day that is seared into my memory though I was only 8 years old on that day. It is important to understand this event and to remember the 168 people who lost their lives 25 years ago. Please take this opportunity to learn about this event.

This week we will continue discussing government by completing Lessons 9-3 and 9-4 on Google Classroom. Lessons and assignments will be posted in Google Classroom on Monday at 8am.

Please do the extra credit assignment this week. It is an article about the 1918 Flu Epidemic. You will be able to see connections from the past to the present because the article/letters shows that people in 1918 were going through the same things we are today. Go to your class period's extra credit Padlet to complete the extra credit (on the left side of the blog).
