Assistant Principal
Crystal Blanchard was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Crystal holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and Master’s in Education Administration from Concordia University in Austin. She began her educational career at Austin ISD as a Grant Writer for all schools. In 2005, Ms. Blanchard moved to Galena Park ISD in Houston, TX. She has served as a Math Teacher, Instructional Specialist, Testing Coordinator, and Assistant Principal in schools across the city of Houston. She takes pride in being a data-driven, instructional leader. Ms. Blanchard is excited to work with the students, staff and community of Madison HS to ensure all students are successful. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, shopping, and outdoor activities. Ms. Blanchard’s favorite quote is “Don’t follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path, and leave a trail.”

Omari IssaAssistant Principal
Omari Issa is a proud native of East St. Louis, Illinois. He attended Tennessee State University to earn a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences Degree in History. He went on to attend Prairie View A&M to receive a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. Mr. Issa has served HISD for sixteen years. He first started as a Social Studies Teacher at Jesse H. Jones High School, before moving forward as an Assistant Principal. In his spare time, Omari loves to travel, read, and attend concerts and sporting events, amongst many other things. Omari Issa is truly glad to be an educator!
