Mrs. Gloria Zavala

My name is Gloria Zavala and I am proud to be returning to Patrick Henry Middle School as an assistant principal. I am a native Houstonian. It is my philosophy to believe in the ample opportunities that await each child that I interact with daily. It is my obligation to promote each child's confidence level and academic abilities so that they can be equipped with the fundamental skills of learning, perseverance, and strength. I started my teaching career in 2012 as a middle school science teacher at Pershing Middle School. I taught all three grade levels for science.  I was honored to be a cluster leader for two years and the science department chair for three years. In 2018, I decided to take the leap to school administration and became the assistant principal at Hartman Middle School.

This past year I served as the dean of instruction at Patrick Henry Middle School. I bring integrity, commitment, and empowerment to any position I hold. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I attended the University of St. Thomas where I received my Master of Education in Educational Leadership.
