    About the Courses

In this course, students will explore the art of sculpture using clay as a medium. Through a combination of demonstrations and hands-on projects, students will learn how to create both functional and decorative clay sculptures, such as bowls, vases, and figurines. They will study the principles of 3D design, including shape, form, and texture, and learn various techniques for manipulating clay, such as hand-building, coiling, and slab construction. By the end of the course, students will have gained an understanding of the sculpting process and developed their own unique artistic style. They will also have the skills to create a wide variety of clay sculptures and an appreciation for the rich history of clay art across cultures and time periods.

Available to students in grades 7-8. No prior experience is required.
