• How Do We Approach Teaching Languages?

    Ultimately, of course, we hope that our students become fluent in the target language, or, at the very least, establish a solid base for doing so. To that end, each and every course is designed to incorporate appropriate activities that nurture skills development in speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and writing. We follow the curriculum outlines developed by a compendium of language instructors in HISD, incorporating ancillary materials such as language lab activities, videos, music, interactive computer activities, telenovelas, magazine articles, current events, news broadcasts, etc.
