• Welcome to the Istation webpage. Istation is short for Imagination Station. It is a computerized reading program fully implemented during the 2013-2014 school year for the first time. Mr. Freeman is our Istation teacher. Mr. Freeman works with all students in K-5 at least once a week. The students enjoy an animated program which is individualized just for them. They get immediate feedback and are constantly encouraged to "do their best". Classroom teachers have acess to reports that are printed and evaluated weekly to develop additional practice lessons for the students as they move through the program. Istation is a fun resource for learning!

     
    Istation Reading is a comprehensive computer-based reading program that maximizes students’ reading fluency, comprehension and retention, and academic success. Computer-adaptive assessments and curriculum present reading and writing in a fun, interactive way that motivates students to participate.
     

    ISTATION ON THE IPAD

    If you see the configuration window after downloading the IPAD app:

    Type benavidez in the domain field

    Our Istation domain will pop up: benavidez.houston.tx

    Click on the pop up so that it fills in the domain field.

    If you have difficulty filling the field then you can just type the domain straight into the field.

    Click OK! 

     

     

    All students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 have access to Istation Reading in English at home.   Also needed are an Internet connection and headphones for audio.

    To begin using Istation @ Home: 

    Student:

    Please install Istation on your home computer by following these easy steps:

    1. Install Istation by going to www.istation.com/Install.
    2. Follow the instructions to install Istation on your home computer (Windows or Mac).
    3. Double-click the Istation icon on your computer's desktop to begin.

    Parent:

    You can view your student's results and obtain access to reports and other resources by accessing the Istation parent portal.

    1. Go to www.texassuccess.org.
    2. On the top menu under "Reading", click "Login".
    3. The first time you log into the Web site, you will be prompted to select your student's school. Type in the school information. (This will only be done once.)

    Select your school example on the Web site.

    1. Type in your student's user name and password as provided by your teacher and click Log On.
      Enter username and password.
