Administering the STAAR L Student Tutorials
The STAAR L tutorials are designed to be administered in a proctored setting. Prior to administering the tutorial to students, you should familiarize yourself with the STAAR L tutorial administration directions. These directions are designed to take into account the difficulties that some ELLs may have understanding oral directions in English, as well as the limited experience some students may have with standardized testing. You may adjust the language and specificity of the directions to the level of English proficiency of your students.

Accessing the STAAR L Student Tutorials
The STAAR L student tutorials are delivered in the browser-based version of TestNav, TestNav 7. They do not need to be downloaded or installed. The STAAR L student tutorials use the browser plug-in Adobe Flash Player.
The tutorial will launch in your default Internet browser. Supported browsers and operating systems are identified in the Minimum System Requirements document, which can be found with the Technology Information resources at Home > Resources > Information. District technology staff should assist as needed in accessing the tutorials. For additional technical assistance, contact Pearson's Austin Operations Center at 800-627-0225.
