• Dear St. George Place Students, Teachers, Parents, and Community Partners:

Dave Wheat As the principal of The School at St. George Place, building relationships with and supporting the needs, talents, and interests of our students, teachers, and parents is very important to
me. I am excited to work collaboratively with you to ensure that all SGP students achieve high levels of learning in a safe, rigorous, and nurturing environment.

One of the most exciting things about being a part of the St. George Place family being a part of an International Baccalaureate World School community.
I am proud to offer six enrichments to further support the development of our students including: music, visual arts, science labs, media center (literacy and technology), mandarin,
and PSPE (Personal, Social, and Physical Education). Our teachers are committed to developing the whole child.

The attributes in the learner profile, knowledgeable, reflective, communicator, thinker, caring, principled, open-minded, risk taker, inquirer, and balanced, transcend great performance
on standardized tests. More importantly, they lead children to become compassionate, principled and reflective citizens in our international community. These very same attributes are
important for all members of our learning community to strive for and model, including our paraprofessionals, teachers, and administrative team. These important attributes reflect who
I strive to be in all interactions with our students, teachers, parents, and community partners.

I am a proud UH Cougar, completing both my undergraduate degree in English and my master’s degree in Administration and Supervision at the University of Houston. The light of my
life is my thirteen year-old son, an HISD student. We enjoy reading and movies, and we love to fish, Jet Ski, and swim at our little place on Lake Livingston.

    Sincerely,
    Dave D. Wheat
