Sarah BellardTeacher, U.S. HistoryRoom 2222Email: email@example.comIn U.S. History Since Reconstruction, students complete the study of U.S. history begun in Grade 8. The course covers the period 1877 to the present. The periods we will be studying were truly momentous and affect our lives to this day. By the end of the course students will understand the major political, social, and economic developments that were crucial to the development of the society we live in today.
Materials: You are required to bring in a spiral notebook, a folder with brads and pockets, or a binder for your notes. You will also need a pen, a pencil, and plenty of loose-leaf paper.
Attendance: The nature and format of this course make it imperative that you are in class every day. Each day we are working toward an important goal: ensuring that you learn what you need to know in order to pass the U.S. History STAAR EOC Test. You MUST pass this test in order to graduate.
Your grade for the six weeks will be determined as follows:
45% Classwork; 30% Tests; 15% Quizzes; 10% Homework
Please know that your success is very important to me. I look forward to working with you this year!
