Joanna Gipson is a teacher of French, specializing in high-yield strategies. Every lesson is designed to address all learning styles and include opportunities for speaking, reading and writing French.
We also study French culture and its influence around the world.
This year we will have French Honor Society and French Club at Milby.
I will also co-sponsor "Name That Book" with our librarian, Ms. Verdin.
Students will be introduced to a working vocabulary for daily life. They will name things they see every day at school and at home.Students will be introduced to the major structures of the French language and compare these stuctures both to English and to Spanish.
French 2:Students will review and master basic vocabulary and structures. Students will be introduced to advanced verb tenses and grammar.
French 2, pre-APStudents will review and master basic vocabulary and structures. Students will practice advanced grammar. Pre-AP students will prepare activities for the Texas French Symposium.French 3, 3 pre-APStudents will focus on mastering the basics of conversational French, while surveying French literature. They will also be preparing activities for the Texas French Symposium.-
