Ms. Hubbard was raised in "duck town" on the southside of Chicago and attended 4 different public high schools, including an alternative school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. Ms. Hubbard went on to serve her country for six years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force. With the belief that "service to others is the rent we should pay to occupy this earth", she then joined Teach for America. Ms. Hubbard had the privilege of serving Alief students for six years and now looks forward to working with Lee H.S. teachers to close the achievement gap.
