Social Activism at East Early College
Every Tuesday during advocacy, students are introduced to a variety of topics designed to broaden their awareness of things taking place globally and to allow them opportunities to brainstorm solutions or to become involved in social reform projects. One simple and easy to replicate activity this year had students learning about altruism by committing random acts of kindness. The winning display of those random acts is pictured below and created by Ms. Eumeka White's advocacy. It was called the Tree of Kindness.
Above all else, we want our students to be kind, helpful, and socially aware/active members of our world.
