Stipend for New Teacher YOUniversity
Newly hired or promoted, full-time HISD Teachers are eligible to receive $100 for completing each FULL day at New Teacher YOUniversity and meeting attendance requirements. Hourly Lecturers and Associate Teachers are welcome to attend but are not stipend eligible positions.
Participants must scan/sign in and out, each day, using your HISD/New Teacher YOUniversity badge. You must attend the entire day (Four 90-minute sessions) and complete the attendance survey at the end of every session. What if a teacher can not attend a full day? Unfortunately, stipends will not be prorated.
To receive payment, trainings must be completed prior to the start of the duty schedule, and you must be an active HISD employee in your assigned job role for the 22-23 SY when the payment is issued. Teachers can expect to receive their stipends by their October 2022 paycheck.
