Miguel Incháurregui was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico and lived in Aguascalientes, Puebla, and Zacatecas before his family immigrated to the United States when he was eleven years old. 

For the past 21 years, southeast Houston has been his home despite his abhorrence of humidity, mosquitoes, and snakes underfoot. He attended Carnegie Vanguard and found it a welcomed challenge. He later graduated from the University of Houston with a double major in Chinese and Spanish. He began his teaching career shortly thereafter.

This will be Mr. Incháurregui's fourth year at Carnegie (as a teacher).
